After root filling I have dark line on the gum please advise.

Q.
2 months ago I had my teeth all made into crowns. Where I have a couple of implants and a root filling, there is now a dark line at the gum line. I have told my dentist about it and he says I should brush my teeth and make them bleed. I got a firm toothbrush and have scrubbed these gums and they will not bleed and the dark is still there. Also one of the teeth above these implants and root filling is very sensitive to cold and sometimes if anything hard gets into it it hurts. Because I am 68 years of age and went to the dentist for my teeth to be straightened, a decision was made by the dentist that I was too old for my teeth to be successfully straightened and that it would take a long time, that is why I have a mouthful of crowns. Is there anything I can do to make this ddark line around these 3 teeth disappear?

Best option to repair or restore bad gum?

Monday, November 30th, 2009
Q.
My gums are very poor at the bottom of my mouth and have been pushed down by plaque etc ?? due to bad gum disease, I am in the process of rectifying this and also looking into implants for the teeth that it has effected. Is there anyway that the gums can then be repaired or restored so that theres not big gaps etc ??

Q.
Re implants Can you tell me what materials are generally used for the “teeth” is it always plastic or can porceline be used and if the(original) upper teeth are poor quality would a softer material be used.

Q.
Hi,Doc,I had was involved in a traffic accident 20 years ago and lost 5 teeth. At the time i went to the dental hospital in edinburgh and had scans to see if it was possible to get implants.I was told because I had lost some bone in my jaw du e to accident, that there wasn,t enough to affix implants to,,since then i believe it is now possible to graft bone and therefore have procedure done..My question is: Since this was done through having an accident, Is possible to have procedure done on NHS, At the present time I am on incapacity benifits and DLA.Also I am a former seafarer and wonder if the dreadnought society could accomodate this.
