Monday, March 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi doctor, i have had this problem for years. I am from Singapore and I am 21 years old. I have 2 milk teeth and it didnt drop so now the adult teeth grew behind in at the top jaw making me look like a vampire. Its funny but it kinda hurt my tongue when I sleep. Its too late to remove my 2 front milk teeth otherwise I will look like I lost 2 teeth. What do u recommend? I wanted braces but I wana know if there are faster way of solving this other than braces.I thought of extracting the 2 milk teeth and adult teeth and replacing it but Im not sure whether my actions are recommended.Im gona get married soon and I wana look my best, thats why I really dont wana get braces.Thank you doctor. DO reply me. Really need help.

Tooth removed because of gum disease i have temporary national denture. How much will implants cost

Monday, March 30th, 2009
Q.
I have just had my top right small tooth and middle right big tooth removed because of gum disease caused partly from smoking and mainly through congenital gum disease and have been fitted with a temporary national health denture. I am finding this absolutely dreadful and am incosolable and want to have implants. Can you tell me how much it will cost and how long the whole procedure takes, will i still have to wear the denture till the process is completed or is there another alternative. My dentist also told me that I might need an implant with a cantilever bridge, can you tell me how much you think that might cost. many thanks

Immediate implant placement post extraction advice

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008
Q.
My question is about immediate post-extraction implant placement. I have had a crown on 1 upper front tooth for 18yrs recently the post broke and according to my dentist the post is too short for another crown. I am contemplating various options to replace the crown, one of them being a titanium implant.I have already had X rays, blood tests etc…to assess suitability to implant. I am in favour of an immediate post extraction implant placement which i mentioned to my dentist,he stated it was a “possibility” but would not elaborate. I am aware you cannot answer what would be best in MY case but i would be grateful for some general info on potential dangers/difficulties of immediate post extraction implant. I am 65 yrs old with no major health problems. I have had a successful hip replacement (titanium) a few years back. Many thanks for your advice. Regards. F
