Can Invisalign be used unnoticeably with a dental bridge?

Monday, March 26th, 2012
Q.

Hi,
I have recently been reffered to an orthadontist to have invisalign braces, i am really excited about starting my treatment but have been told i need a tooth removed as it is a milk tooth, i have had previous treatments but the tooth is unable to be saved, i also had a bridge fitted on the opossite side for the same problem which also needs to be removed as it is ill fitting, my question is as i will have noticeable gaps at the front of my mouth, when the tooth and bridge are removed can the invisalign help to hide this hile my teeth are being moved? i work in a environment where i am constantly talking to people/customer and am worried that i will feel very concious with gaps.
Please help!!
Thankyou

What can a cosmetic dentist do to make my teeth look brighter and my gaps smaller?

Friday, November 4th, 2011
Q.

Hi there, about 8 years ago I was unfortunate enough to be injured by a stranger in an unprovoked attack. My two front teeth were broken, one so far up the nerve was showing. My dentist had to perform root canal and I have porcelain caps on the two front teeth and a white composite on the teeth next to them. I have had many problems since then with these teeth but more recently I had a gum infection above these teeth due to my gums being swollen and not being able to clean into the caps properly. After a course of antibiotics and the hygienest clearing the plaque that had gathered above and inbetween these teeth i have been left with big gaps between my gums and teeth. My dentist said there is nothing they can do and I will have to just live with this. Is this true or can I go to a dentist that specialises in cosmetics and have the four teeth (caps and composites) replaced so they dont look as ‘dirty’ and the gaps arent so big and unsightly. I have really good oral hygiene and have never had any other work needed done to my teeth in my 30 years. A response would be much appreciated as it is really getting me down that my lovely teeth will now be like this forever. Many thanks for any advice you can give me.

I am 17 and have milk teeth that are soon to fall out, what are my options for replacement?

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011
Q.

Hello,
I am 17 years old and am looking into getting porcelain veneers.

I currently have 2 milk teeth that are going to come out very soon and I was wondering if it could be possible to remove the milk teeth and have veneers put on? And if this is possible how long would I have to wait from my milk teeth being taken out to the point where i get my veneers on? As I dont really want to be left with gaps in my teeth, and if this is unavoidable I dont really want to wait that long with gaps.

Thank You,

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011
Q.

I had braces 6 yrs back. Unfortunately, I did’nt continue wearing my retainers. Now, My front two teeth hv got less than 1.5 mm gap and same on right and left ( leaving 3 teeth from the front each side ( This is the best I can describe) Rest are all perfectly alligned. Please suggest me best treatment possible. I was htinkign to go for Invisalign Lite?? Can you also inform me the cost of treatment.

I wish I could send u my picture. People around me says that I really don’t need any treatment / they can barely spot the gap unless I show them.

Please guide me appropriately.

Will veneers make my teeth protrude?

Monday, August 22nd, 2011
Q.

Hi I am 25 year old female that has been told i have periodontitis. I have received treatment for this in the form of scaling and root planning. I also have receded gums five gum pockets between my front teeth which have made me very depressed. I have seen one cosmetic dentist and he said he can add composite resin to these teeth to make them look more natural and close the gaps, is this good for the gum? What other option do I have veneers? Would this make my teeth even more protruding? I have also had braces for a year to correct an over bite and close some gum gaps where the teeth had been stripped a little to make the gaps smaller but the gum gaps are still there. I also have a permanent brace behind my top teeth to stop it from moving. I have been in a very depressive state as to what can be done about my teeth to keep my gums stable. What can be done aesthetically to help me get my confidence back and smile?
Please can you help me as I feel I dont know what can be done?

Will the space left after my extraction be filled?

Monday, July 11th, 2011
Q.

Hello Doctor

i am 23 yrs old. i have been recommended for 4 tooth extraction (4 pre molars) for the treatment of class 2 div 1 and sub div and moderately severe crowding with mandibular arch and braces for one and a half year. but am worried whether the space left out after extraction will b filled ?
what is the success rate of this treatment .
does age factor plays any role in this treatment.
and moreover i have to go for crowning of my upper incisor so whether it is done before braces or after braces when i get proper alignment thank you for your time

Can my gums be reshaped after I have received my dental implants?

Monday, July 11th, 2011
Q.

Hi, I have had tatum implant surgery for two missing teeth. Both gaps are at the top front row and I am due to have the abutments fitted ready for crowns. Where the implants have been fixed into position my gum line has taken it’s own form and shape. Once the crowns are fitted I will be left with gaps where the gum once naturally protruded into a point between each tooth. My question is, can gum be taken from other arears of the gum and applied to existing gum so it acts as a filler then reshapen in order to create a better visual apperance to both the tooth and gum line?

Is cosmetic bonding the best option for my teeth?

Monday, June 6th, 2011
Q.

Hello Dr. Sunita Verma i just have a quick question about bonding. I am 15 years old and i just have gotten my canines replaced because i was missing my upper laterals, so they made my canines that replaced my laterals look like laterals but i still have my baby canines that have never fallen out and (they are my 3rd teeth from my centrals) and my dentist said eventually they will fall out. What would be my options if they do fall out? Also i have a minor gap in my two front teeth. What would be the cost to bond those together and make them longer? or what do you think is my best option with my situation? Thank you for your time and hopefully hear back with a response 🙂

I have gaps between my teeth after my brace work has been ‘completed’, what should I do?

Monday, May 23rd, 2011
Q.

Dear doctor,

I am still having my braces on but i noticed holes in where my gums were supposed to be. It looks something like Fig 11 and 13 in this website.

http://www.oralhealthjournal.com/issues/ISarticle.asp?aid=1000151498

My orthodontist said it is not going to grow back on its own. Is there a type of gum implants or treatment for my problems? Or should i ask for her to push my teeth deeper into the gumline?

THANK YOU!
