Hi,
Unfortunately, over the weekend I managed to knock out my two (top) front teeth. To further complicate matters I am currently working on a rotational basis on Sakhalin Island, Russia. I have seen a dentist here who has said that they can do implants but I would prefer to have them ‘installed’ in the UK, assuming that is what is required.
Can you give me an idea of the timescale that is required to have the implants installed? I am back in the UK between 13th – 25th October , I assume this is not enough time to have implants installed? If not, if I get the initial treatment conducted in October do you think I would be able to get the final implants ‘installed’ in late December when I return after my next rotation?
The dentist here has recommended a ‘plate’ in the mean time to help with my speech and for aesthetics reasons? Is there anything else I should be worried about? I have heard that issues can arise with the teeth left moving and that they should be kept apart to maintain room.
Can you give a rough estimate on cost (assuming there are no complications, i.e. bone grafts) for the installation of two implants?
Thanks for your time.

Should i build up my tooth with a crown or have a veneer instead?
Friday, January 7th, 2011 I just had two front teeth crowns placed
with temp cement. One is a natural tooth
and one is an implant. Now, the lateral beside the implant looks too much set
back. It is one third bonded from a chip.
I dont know whether to place another
crown to build up tooth or do a veneer.
The colour needs to match the other two and would be done by same lab.
What do you advise?

What can i do about my teeth being so close together?
Thursday, January 6th, 2011Hi Mark. I chipped my front teeth in an accident when I was younger and to make the edges look cleaner, a dentist filed around 3mm off the width of the front two teeth instead of bonding the damage. However, I’m older now and the gaps in my teeth he made closed in time but I am still not happy with my smile. The front teeth look too narrow now than what they originally were and as the roots are closer together (because the teeth have moved together and aren’t as wide as they used to be) it is kind of hurting my jaw a bit and I feel like wanting to pull them apart. Are their any options available to get my front teeth back to being slightly wider again? I have a maryland bridge replacing my right canine tooth and gum recession on one of my front teeth (which actually makes it look even narrower!). Will this be an issue? Is it possible that you could get an orthodontist to space the front teeth slightly and then cover the gaps with wider veneers so there is no gap and the teeth are wider again or would you have to have more than 2 veneers? Its only the two top fronts I have a problem with, the rest of the mouth is fine!
I would like a replacement denture for my top four front teeth, what are my options?

What treatments are available to correct gaps in teeth that are also different sizes and shapes?
Thursday, December 9th, 2010I’m unsure what type of cosmetic work I’d need, I have a gap in the front teeth & two teeth that are different sizes & shapes. I just wanted some idea of what sort of work you think I’d need done from that description.
