My front teeth are uneven due to fluorosis, how could I resolve this?
Friday, March 25th, 2011My sons tooth enamel is cracked and decaying, what could have caused this?
Friday, March 18th, 2011Hi Mark
My son, who had fluoride during his foetal development, breast feeding and for years as fluoride tablets, has dental fluorosis.
The enamel on his teeth seems very hard but with fine cracks in it in places, under which there has been found to be decay which could not be found with a dental probe.
Do you happen to know what could have caused this problem?
I would very much welcome your response.
Thank you in anticipation of a response.
Could the brown stains on my son’s teeth be fluoride related?
Thursday, February 17th, 2011My 12 year old son has brown stains on most of his adult teeth, we think from the effects of fluoride in the drinking water. We have been told that veneers are the only solution to this. Is this true? How soon can he undergo treatment? Is this something that the NHS should pick up the bill for? Many thanks
Would Veneers or Lumineers be able to hide flurosis stains on front teeth?
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010Hi Dr. Verma I have moderate to severe florosis on my 6 front teeth. I was just wondering whether lumineers would be able to cover the florosis stains because the flourosis is very white and my teeth are fairly dark. Or whether traditional veneers would be better. Thank You in advance,
I had microabraision on my two front teeth about a year ago, but it didn’t work. I would appreciate you opinion on whether I should try again?
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010I have previously (about a year ago) had microabraision on my two front teeth which have fluorosis (white stains). It reduced the appearance of one tooth but not the other. The dentist stopped the process as my teeth were getting too sensitive. I wanted to ask whether its worth trying again. I have spoken to a couple of dentists and both have given conflicting advice – one says it may work again and the other said if it didnt work on one tooth it means the stain is too deep in the enamel. The white stain looks brighter some days especially after i have brushed my teeth. I would appreciate your honest opinion,
Would professional whitening be the best option for me in my case?
Wednesday, July 14th, 2010Dear Dr Patel. I have quite severe fluorosison all of my teeth and at the age of 13 had six crowns fitted. I am now 37 and have never had my bottom teeth crowned. Would professional whitening be an option or do I need to re-mortagage the house for six more crowns ?,
