Could the brown stains on my son’s teeth be fluoride related?
Q.
My 12 year old son has brown stains on most of his adult teeth, we think from the effects of fluoride in the drinking water. We have been told that veneers are the only solution to this. Is this true? How soon can he undergo treatment? Is this something that the NHS should pick up the bill for? Many thanks

A.
If it is fluorosis it would be best to wait until he is around 16 before treating the problem. You might get veneers on the NHS but it depends on your dentist
