My front tooth are shorter than the rest what are my option brace or veneers?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi. My front tooth and the tooth next to it are a bit shorter than the rest of my teeth. A friend of mine who is training as a dental technician suggested that a brace might be able to sort this out to pull the tooth down. Is this true? If not, would I have to get veneers? Also would it be best to have teether whitened before or after treatment? Thank you for your help.

My mouth looks like a sharp mouth can you advice me a fix?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi there… I wasnt sure who of the experts to put this question to… so i chose at random! I am deeply shocked to discover that despite regularly visiting a dentist for the last 5 years who never mentioned my gums – I have severe periodontal disease. Although i brushed and flossed regularly i never looked closely into my mouth and assumed the shifting teeth were merely getting overcrowded by my wisdom. Now I have moved to a new dentist and have been informed I have ‘massive’ bone loss and had a proper look at my now twisted bottom teeth which look twice as long as they should. It looks and feels terrible. uncomfortable. and the wider health implications! two curettage have done a lot to improve the health of my gums and my periodontist – i go to Poland because i cannot afford the uk at present says she is much more optimistic about the future of my teeth than she was at first, she was shocked. i am only 35. I understand that slowing and stopping the disease is my priorit of course. however i wonder IF and when this is achieved… if anthing can be done to improve the discomfort and the cosmetic appearance with gum grafting and bone etc… i have tried to research and get confusing information which says different things.. also the different dentists i have seen have been vague and contradictory to each other. any advice you may be able to give on this matter would be greatly appreciated. my mouth looks like a sharks mouth.. must it stay this way forever? many thanks

My top row of teeth are slightly inwards how could i get it fixed

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
Q.
I wondered what the best way I could fix these cosmetic problems. Preferably without braces. My top row of teeth go slightly inwards and my two front teeth are face a little towards each other. I also have a very small gap on each side between my first and second premolars. i should also say i still have 4 baby teeth around the back on each side, and there are no big teeth to grow in. is there a plate i could wear that would fix all this? No one has ever noticed and no dentist has ever recommended anything, so i wanted to get another opinion.

Would dental implant be suitable for me what would be the cost of it?

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hi Andrew, I had my front tooth knocked out 6 years ago and it was put back in the same day. Subsequently I had a wire placed across my front teeth for about six months. Since then i have continually had problems with the root, infections, and now my tooth ranges from being normal to very wobbly. I haven’t been able to bite down on it for about eight months now due to the pain and constant fear it will fall out. I was advised by my dentist it may be another infection so i was issued with antibiotics to see if this would clear the infection and let the enamel harden, however this doesn’t appeared to have worked as the top of my tooth is discoloured and beginning to wear away. I also have an unpleasant taste in my mouth, possibly where the tooth is rotting? Could you please advise me whether a dental implant would be suitable and how much this would cost me through the NHS? Many thanks,

Is it normal for teeth to have some movement when they are pushed from behind

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hi Justin I had a dentist appointment today and was informed i had early stages of peridontal disease, very early, which would be cured with a deep clean, but my question to you, if you can help, is whether its normal for teeth to have some movement when they are pushed from behind with the tongue, or wiggled with the fingers, especially after eating? Its really bothering me, and my dentist didnt have a clue! Thanks
