Should I have a tooth removed to have a bridge re-fitted?

Thursday, January 27th, 2011
Q.

Hello Dr Moore

I have a bridge of 4 false teeth at the front of my mouth and after 20 years the original K9 has sheared off leaving the bridge loose, I am due soon to have another denture fitted. I believe the sheared tooth will be removed and a compound used instead from the root. I was told after a second opinion within the surgery that this will only last for approx 2-3 years and I really need to consider the screw in option of which will costs me £6000 pounds of which I cannot afford. What can I do. I am seriously considering having all my teeth removed as this will be a cheaper option.

Many thanks

My fixed bridge has changed my facial appearance, what can I do?

Thursday, January 27th, 2011
Q.

I have a fixed bridge of 12 units. It was placed almost a year ago with a temporary cement by a dental technician. now I noticed that my facial appearance changed. it looks like I don’t have my front teeth, they seem to be sinking. My upper lip looks flat and my chin seems to protrude. I really feel bad looking at the mirror. How to correct this? Please help me Doctor. Many thanks to you.

Can I have a dental student fit dental implants?

Thursday, January 20th, 2011
Q.

I lost my front teeth when i was young and have a bridge, Recently i have had dentures fitted either side of the bridge, i am finding the dentures impossible to wear and would like implants. I would be very interested in exploring the opportunity of dental students doing this work for me.

What can I do to secure my loose bridge?

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011
Q.

Dear Dr. Solanki, I have a bridge on the bottom of my mouth, that I have had for a long time, recently, I had an abcess, so I had to have it drained, it must have loosened the bridge, because now it feels like it is coming out when I eat. I don’t have the money to have it repaired and I don’t know what to do. Is there anything I can do to keep it in until I can have it done? I would appreciate your help very much.
