Need latest treatment to fix my uneven crowded teeth

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I had braces on my top teeth when I was 17. I’m now 30 and I’m very self conscious of my ‘goofy’ teeth. The braces did straighten my teeth but my top teeth have always stuck out over my bottom ones. When I close my back teeth I am able to slide my little finger between the gap. When I had braces they never addressed my crooked bottom teeth and so I never have elastic bands to help the alignment of my teeth/jaw. As an adult now I feel I was possibly mistreated. I’m incredibly self conscious of my smile and I find I’m beginning to hide my teeth and mouth when I speak and laugh. All of this infuriates my husband who insists its part of what makes me me but I hate it! Is there anything that could help?

Can my year old overcrowded teeth be corrected?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I am 25 years old and I have overcrowded bottom teeth, and I’m unsure of the best way to treat these. As a child my mum took me from orthodontist to orthodontist but they wouldn’t treat me because it didn’t affect my ‘bite’. However, recently the problem has got worse. Not necessarily in the sense that they look unsightly (obviously lower teeth aren’t seen as much), but more that they have become uncomfortable and I feel a constant pressure on them which sometimes becomes quite painful. They are also difficult to clean at the back. I did have both my lower wisdom teeth removed 7 weeks ago and I was told that this may help, but so far it hasn’t. What treatment would you recommend? I’d rather not have veneers as there is nothing physically wrong with the teeth other than they are not straight, and I would rather have a brace to be honest, but would teeth need to be removed so there is room to move the other teeth to? Thanks. I’m not even fussed if they are not tooth coloured braces. It’s more the uncomfortableness I want gone.

What is the best treatments for crowded teeth?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009
Q.
Dear Mr. Patel Let me allow that I introduce my problem.I am 21 and my cief complaint is my upper and lower crowding. Info – Relationship of frontal teeth: Overjet: 2-3mm Overbite 2mm, Midlines upper is OK lower 1,5mm to the left, Dental crowding severe, Crossbite UR2-LR3. Next year year I’ll study at London Business School and I think that this is good opportunity to correct my teeths aswell. I want to ask you is in this case possible to correct teeths with Veneers, removable braces or Invisaglin braces? Because I realy want fast solution and I think that veneers are the best but on the other hand I am also prepared for longer treatment and wear braces but only which I mention in upper text. I just want to hear your advice because everywhere offer me just Damonbraces and similar braces which I realy do not want to wear because they do not fit my lifestyle. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. I am also prepared to send you photos of my teeths,smile,x-ray scans if this help you to give me advice.

What is the cause for my uneven teeth growth?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009
Q.
Hi, my teeth are quite small for my age. i’m 16 and only noticed this 1 year ago after an orthodontist pointed it out to me. My molars are maybe 2-3mm out of my gums and my other teeth are less than an inch out of my gums. is this strange or common, furthermore, my to front teeth overlapped as i grew up. is this related?

Can the crown be placed always over the tooth?

Friday, October 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have just found out that my top right rear molar, is dying as a result of a deep filling, which is now beging to rest on the nerve of the tooth. The dentist has shown me the x-ray and said that as the root is so bent and not easily identifiable, he does not believe a root canal would be sucsessful. I have also had a bad expererience of root canal’s, where within months I had absess, and lost the tooth anyway. My dentist has said that my only option really is therefore too losse the tooth. My concern with this is that due to braces and overcrowding I had already had all my wisdom teeth removed and to loose this back tooth, I run the risk of my jaw bone disolving, there is already evidence of this on the x-ray following the wisdom extraction 3 years ago. I asked if there was any other options and he told me I would need splints and a crown which would cost about £2000. I am only 31 and worry that if I don’t make the right choice now it will be too late, I can’t afford £2000 for a tooth, but as it stands a booked for an extraction the week before xmas??!! Reading some of your other responses to questions indicate the crown can be placed over the tooth, can this not always be done? Any advise would be great. Thanks

Is its possible to fix braces on my front teeth which are pushed together?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hi im  24 years old,Im a very nervous patient, after 16 years i went to the dentist and i found out i need 9 extractions, top 5 4 4 6 7, bottom 7 6 5 7. My front teeth on the top are a bit pushed together, i was wondering if its possible to fix braces on them now that im gonna have all that missing teeth. Also on the bottom jaw my front teeth are nice and straight, is it possible to fix something to retain their position, so they wont move to close the gaps. (i know dental implants could be perfect to replace missing tooth, but due to my financial situation and my phobia its not possible for me) thank you for your help
