How Much Would it Cost to Straighten Just One Tooth?

Hello Dr Hughes. I was just wondering how much it would cost for me to straighten just one tooth at the front of my mouth? It just needs to be pulled forward because it has been knocked back and it looks terrible when I smile. I do have a dentist that I see regularly, but because I’m on benefits he will only do the treatment that he thinks is really needed. He says this but I feel like this is really needed, it’s knocking all my confidence and I hate smiling just because of this one tooth please could you help me understand what I’ll need doing to bring this tooth forward, and how much it will cost? Thank you.

How much will it cost to have my gold crowns replaced with porcelain ones?

I HAVE TWO GOLD CROWNS IN MY UPPER BACK TEETH AND WANT THEM REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH WHITE ENAMEL ONES (THEY SHOW WHEN I SMILE) – HOW MUCH WOULD THAT COST? AND HOW MUCH WOULD THE GOLD CROWNS BE WORTH AFTER BEING REMOVED? gWEN – – WOULD THIS BE A PAINFUL PROCEDURE; AND, I ALSO HAVE TWO BRIDGES IN MY LOWER BOTTOM TEETH. Should I have to pay for my new veneers to be glued back on again?

Hi,In July, this year i decide to have two new veneers because one of my original kept coming of, i was told the cost would be £600 and because i am sixty that is a lot of money to me but i thought i would have it done to solve the problem it was done on the national health, after 3 weeks one came off, and i had to go and get it fixed which they did`nt charge me because it was only 3 weeks since i had it done,again today the same veneer came of again and i had to go and get it put back on they wanted to charge me £17 pounds but i refused to pay , when you pay all that money you would`nt expect this to keep happening,can you tell me if there is a reason why this is happening, i don`t bite in anything i have done everything they have said, and i am worried now that if i go on holiday this might happen again.

My retainer has broken, can I get a replacement?

Mark, if an Essix retainer splits or is cut down, does that affect the effectiveness of maintaining the teeth positions? My Essix retainer has split quite badly now after several years and so feels a little loose as parts of the plastic on it are missing, my bite feels a bit off when i take it out now and it doesn’t feel as ‘tight’ as it were. I don’t have an orthodontist now to replace it as he is now retired but am nervous about my teeth moving.

I live in the London area close to you. How much approximately would you charge to make a replacement Essix for me if I saw you? Many thanks.

How much will it cost to replace my broken teeth?

 I am 50 and havent been to the dentist for 30 years because of fear initially but now embarassment. Most of my teeth have broken off at gum level and i only have 2 left at the top and six at the bottom but they are all rotten as well. I have decided to try to get them fixed as i have barely been out the door in the last ten years. I just want to know can anything be done to help me and how much would it cost. Iread a story on the internet that it would cost about 10,000 pounds but theres no way i could pay that. Please give me some advice as i’m desperate.

My crown doesn’t match the opposite side, what do i do now?

Hi Dr Verma, i recently had a root canal and crown placed over one of my front teeth I had never had any dental work like that done before,because of the fact i have had braces for most of my life. after i’d had it done the dentist and the assistance told me it looked great, so i get home and i notice it’s not quite right so i go back to the dentist to tell them about some problems with the crown (it’s obvious that it is too short and a little whiter in comparison to the opposite tooth) and now i have to pay to get the opposite tooth crowned! i feel very embarrassed, hurt, and over all depressed over this situation iam in now, i just finally want a perfect smile. please help, what do i do now?

Can i get new teeth of the NHS?

Hi, my mouth is ruined one from a bad dentistry from when i was a child and two from were i use to take drugs in the past and grind my teeth quite heavily in result to this. Also i have not been to a dentist for a check up in about 12 years. i have a feeling that i probably will need all my teeth out as a few of the back teeth are wobbly,broken and tend to cause me a great deal of pain. Just wondering but how much do new ones cost? and also i would want to be a sleep when anything is happening as iam scared of dentists, the only problems is that i dont work and have no money i get dla and income support and don’t know what if anything i can get on nhs, all i want is to smile again can anyone help me please? thanks alot for your time

How much is it fro implants on my 4 missing teeth?

Hello,

I have recently been told that I need to have a 2 implants fixed for four of my missing teeth. But to be honest I agree with my dentist as I have had a four tooth metal plate for a long time now. I am 50 years old. I went to a private specialist a few weeks ago and have been quoted for placement of two implants at £1,900 and £180 for extraction of broken canine.

In addition the cost for a four unit porcelain bridge is £3,600. In total this comes to £5,580 – which feels a lot for me and is slightly more than what I was expecting to pay. I would like to know if this sounds about right in your opinion?

Hello Doctor, I hope you can help. 

I have missing teeth and all remaining are rotten. I am desperate to be able to speak without feeling self conscious. I have a limited budget. I need to know how much treatment will cost and what treatments are available to me. I have never had nice teeth and am unable to smile and live my life. I have felt suicidal at times as rhis has been a problem for many years. I dont know what the cost will be but can you let me know if any treatments are available and what they would involve.
