Can teeth whitening improve my teeth as I have severe fluorosis?

Monday, October 29th, 2012
Q.

I have severe fluorisis caused by having fluoride tablets and fluoride in the water as a child. As a child and teenager I was told that my only option would be to have veneers or caps and I didn’t like the idea of losing my real enamel and then having to replace them. My dentist mentioned tooth whitening and wondered what options there are and how I can go about finding a reputable dentist who would understand my condition? thanks

Can you tell me why composite resin would chip away?

Q.

My student had composite resin put on several of her front teeth because of severe decay. Two weeks after the procedure it began to chip away. Is this normal? Is this beacuse of the child’s personal dental care or her eating habits?
