After suffering from peridiontal disease sinnce my mid twenties I finally had to have my first two visible upper teeth removed that required a partial upper denture. I absolutely hate the full palate on the upper denture. My nhs dentist intimated I might need a bone graft fom my hip if I considered implants I have had three other molars removed in the past that didn’t show. What can you advise

I am about to loose my lower left incisor due to gum desease and loss of bone. I have had gum surgery which hasnt worked and the tooth is mobile. I have attended Glasgow Dental Hospital. The consultant has said the tooth cannot be saved due to extensive bone loss and advised extraction asap. What are my options?

my bone is too soft for dental implants

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
Q.
Have just had an implant done to be told it has not taken because my bone is too soft. Although he will leave it for two weeks with temp tooth for my son’s wedding he has suggested that I have a maryland bridge. I am so upset and stressed, will it hurt taking it out and will the bridge work ok. Is there anything wrong with me if my bones are too soft. As you can see I am very worried. Plus the cost as well

Thursday, July 24th, 2008
Q.
I am 14 years old and have a 9 adult teeth missing.Apart from the two front top teeth all my teeth are at a 90 degree rotation. We visited a restoritive dentist recently for advice. Who refered us to an orthodontist. Do you think we would have to pay for our restoritive work or implants if needed. If i had implant how long would they last? or What would you recomend implants of bridges?
