My Mother Is In Agony After Her Treatment Abroad, Where Can I Go For Help?

Hi Mark,
I wanted to get some advice regarding some work done to my mothers teeth.

Last summer she went abroad and had 3 implants and 6 crowns. Since coming back 4 of the crowns fell out (botched up job) She is in constant agony and is constantly crying because the crowns where not done correctly, her bottom tooth now has began to crack and chip off because the top crowns are not fitted correctly (huge gaps in between)

Going back is not and option and the NHS doesn’t cover corrective surgery (they’ve been no help regarding this). Could you please advice us on where we could go from here.

My Cosmetic Treatment Abroad Has Left Me With Bleeding Gums, What Can Be Done?

hi 3 years ago i went to hungary and had a metallic brace fitted to my gums to which my dentures attached. during that period my gums have become inflamed ! they also bleed when i brush them . i just wondered what could be done and would the clinic treat me at no extra cost , as i can not afford to pay for any more treatment .the hungarian clinic have a place in london where i went for my check up . but they keep charging me 50 for a consultation do u think my condition is gingivitus or something worse ? i would be very happy with any advise you could give me on how the problem could be solved thanks lee p.s i look forward to hearing from you in the near future !

hi, I’ve recently had a brace put in whilst i was on holiday in india. they told me my treatment would be complete by 6 months. My front 3 teeth are going inwards and i’d like them moving forward. i was going to stay in india for the full 6 months but deceided to leave after 2 months. would i be able to complete the treatment here in uk?

Can you recommend places in Asia for Smile Makeover treatment?

I am have gaps, chips and discolouring of my teeth and I want to get a “smile makeover”. I have undertaken extensive research, set a budget of £3k to £5k and have earmarked a couple of practices in London where I reside.

However, I have recently located from London to Hong Kong for six months for work. I note that the price of cosmetic surgery in countries such as Thailand and Philippines are significantly cheaper than in the UK (e.g. Veneers more like £250 rather than £800). I’m now debating on getting the treatment in Asia as it would allow me to get more work done rather than five or six teeth treated.

I do have a couple of concerns:

– how do I know if it is a well regarded dentist (there are a couple on your website- do you recommend them?);
– how can I guarantee that the dentist will not be using cheaper materials that will not last as long; and
– I understand that cosmetic dentistry can be problematic, even with a good dentist. Is it possible to get insurance in case I encounter problems back in the UK and need to spend further money with UK dentist.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

How much will two implants cost overall?

Hi,
Unfortunately, over the weekend I managed to knock out my two (top) front teeth. To further complicate matters I am currently working on a rotational basis on Sakhalin Island, Russia. I have seen a dentist here who has said that they can do implants but I would prefer to have them ‘installed’ in the UK, assuming that is what is required.
Can you give me an idea of the timescale that is required to have the implants installed? I am back in the UK between 13th – 25th October , I assume this is not enough time to have implants installed? If not, if I get the initial treatment conducted in October do you think I would be able to get the final implants ‘installed’ in late December when I return after my next rotation?
The dentist here has recommended a ‘plate’ in the mean time to help with my speech and for aesthetics reasons? Is there anything else I should be worried about? I have heard that issues can arise with the teeth left moving and that they should be kept apart to maintain room.
Can you give a rough estimate on cost (assuming there are no complications, i.e. bone grafts) for the installation of two implants?

Do braces in the UK cost £200-300?

Hello.

Im 21 and a HE student, I was thinking of getting braces for sure in the next year or so. I have found that from my own dentist it may cost considerbaly upto 2-300 pounds. I was astonished with this answer. Is this true? I mean I only have the fromt two teeth over one another. And also what if I went to another country – like asia – Pakistan, as I am going next year right, would be alot cheaper I suppose. Whats your knowledge sir? and advice.

RE: DENTAL IMPLANT QUERY

I had Stage I of dental implant done in Hungry in 06/03/2009 and was advised to wait until implant had seated well for about 3/6 months.

Although I did not get an opportuninty to return back due to financial reasons and unable to complete Stage II to insert the crown.

The dental implant is:

Dental implantation (Wital, Germany)

Question 1: Are you able to finsh Stage II ?

Question 2: If this is possible what would be the cost?
