Should the temporary bridge I have been given for extracted tooth be cemented?

Q. I am going to have a bridge fitted & had the temp bridge fitted yesterday & have had 1 of my front teeth removed should the tooth that has been removed that is being replaced by the temp bridge be cemented in place,
A. Normally the temporary bridge would be cemented with temporary cement, this will allow your dentist to remove it easily without destoying it when the time comes to take impressions for the final bridge to be manufactured. As the gum heals and shrinks from where the tooth has been removed, your dentist may want to adapt the temporary bridge by adding acrylic. I hope this is of help to you.
