Should i wait until I have got rid of MRSA before i have a bone graph?

Q.
This past summer a dentist installed a dental implant on my back molar. I developed an antral fistula on my palate. The fistula communicated with my sinus cavity. I had a periodontist remove the implant and the fistula. There was no bone left upon removal of the implant and the infection in my sinuses was mrsa. I need to have a bone graph done at the end of the month but I still have mrsa. Do I need to wait until the mrsa is completely gone in my sinsuses before I can have a bone graph?

Hi
Sorry to hear about what happened to you.
Unfortunately there is not enough research in this area.
But logic would dictate that with any surgical procedure you can get infection.
With a patient who has MRSA this will be more difficult to treat if it occurs even if they give you antibiotics that help.
It is a back tooth in a non cosmetic area, so I do not see why you could not wait till the MRSA is hopefully treated.
