Should I have a bridge fitted to replace a missing baby tooth?

Q. dear docter, l have 37 & still have a milk tooth thats about to fall out… l would like to do something about it. the dentest l saw said l should have a gold tooth, but am not to kin on haveing a gold or silver tooth. she said they strong and ever lasting…. what should l do???,
A. Dear Enquirer, It is quite common for a retained baby tooth to get loose at this age. I think your dentist has recommended a bridge to replace the missing baby tooth, whereby you can have a fixed permanent restoration placed by using one or two teeth next to the gap to attach the bridge to. It is advisable that you ask for a porcelain bridge as this will match your teeth completely and is extremely strong and hard wearing.
