Need all the options in cosmetic dentistry for my extracted teeth.

Q. Im due to have 5 rideside extractions & though one tooth has already rotted away Im concerned that the extractions will impact on my smile, what would you reccomend to fill the gap Im going to have, Im only 34 & quite horrified at the thought of being unable to smile

A. Thanks for your questions, there are a few ways in which you can close a gap left by extractions:1. A partial denture, which may be attached to existing teeth using metal clasps for security.2. A bridge, this would bemade by crowning the teeth at either side of the gap, and attaching false     teeth to the crwons which would then sit in the gaps left by the extracted teeth.3. Implants. A dental implant is a titanium rod which is placed into the jawbone. A false tooth , or in the     case of more than one implant, a bridge is then attached to the implant. I would recommend that you consult with a dental professional to discuss these options further and establish which would be most appropriate for yourself. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.Kindest RegardsDr Kailesh Solanki
