my upper dentures look horrible why cant my dentist just make them like my old teeth
Q. I just had upper dentures, They look horrible. My denist said its the best for my mouth shape he can do without jaw surgery. Nothing like this was said to me before is this true? why can’t they just make them like my old teeth real teeth?
A. The problem with dentures is that it is not just the teeth that they are replacing but also the underlying bone and gum. When your teeth are removed the bone remodels to a lower level. Sometimes this means that the jaw bone shape makes it difficult to make the teeth in their original position without making the denture very unstable.
