My teeth are really chipped and cracked, what are my options?

i have let my teeth get in a really bad state over the years and now i am scared to smile and show my teeth, my front tooth is chipped and cracked, 2 rear teeth have got holes in 1 really bad and decayed, and the enamel on my teeth has worn down and my teeth are slightly stained, i get tooth ache really bad at times but dont want any teeth removed wat would be your best advice? and any idea how much in general the treatment would cost

Hi.
I’ve been really unhappy with my teeth for years and on several occasions when going for my check ups mentioned to my dentist I’d like to have straight teeth. He said I have good teeth but just crooked.
With much determination he eventually refered me to an orthadontist who on my visit told me the first thing i’d have to do is break my jaw and reset it. End of session I didn’t like the idea of that at all.
I would like to know if that is the opion of one man what is the likelyhood i may naturally never have straight teeth :o(
I met a lady who has a beautiful smile which I envy and she told has the invisible brace. Is this possible for me. Is it worth persueing or am I destined to be unhappy.
