My dentures are very uncomfortable can u suggest what i can do?

Q. Hi, Today i had two teeth removed top front right (next to by front tooth) I was fitted right away with a denture. Im finding it very uncomfortable and i am aware of the healing process. I cannot take out the teeth at all to clean they are so tight. Also, my bite feels completely wrong. Ive eaten nothing only soup today. The denture has an extended gum piece on.. Can this be shaved off or corrected so it is not as noticable? i can see the pink gum piece when i smile, as so will others. My mouth feels so uncomfortable right now i want to remove the denture for when i go to bed and to clean it along with my teeth, but cannot remove it. Please can you advise on my denture problem. Kindest regards.

A. This all sounds normal for a denture fitted at the time of extraction, however I would pop back to your dentist ina week for him to make the necessary adjustments after things settle in.

Linda Says :

They put a denture in my mouth right away. Now I have kept them in my mouth for the 48 hours like they said. Now I am suppose to take them out and wash my mouth and denture.
The only problem is it won’t come out. It moves and unsticks, but it just won’t come out of my mouth. Very painful.
I soaked my mouth for almost a half an hour with warm salt water. Can anyone help me. I cannot see my doctor before Monday and we are Saturday.
