My dentist said I need to pay the hygienist. I am on income support. Is this correct?

Q. hi, im on income support and my dentist has said i need to see the hygineist, but i have to pay? is this correct? Also he said i need a crown and it will be a metal one, is this right? could he not do one the same colour as my teeth? thanks.,
A. If you with an NHS Dentist than yes that might be the only option for you. I would advise you to contact the NHS directly and get more information from them.
