My dentist refused to give me temp dentures what should i do now?

Q. Hi Dr Moore. I wrote to you yesterday rgarding immediate dentures. Thank you for getting back to me so quick by the way. I had the remainder of my teeth removed this morning and asked my dentist about immediate detures. He refused to give me them and said that they are only used if you have one or two teeth taken out in the front, he said they are then used for apperance perposes. Because i have had all my teeth removed they would be no good for me. I have to now wait a month before i have to go back to see him. Should i be looking for a new dentist as i cant go without teeth for months and he is refusing me them. Thanks so much again.

A. I can only say what I do in my practice and that is to make the dentures before extracting the teeth and fitting them at the same time. In my clinic I wouldn’t dream of sending out the patinet without front teeth to smile with unless under very extreme circumstances. Maybe a 2nd opinion would be good for you.
