my daughter is having braces she has a blue band on the back of the teeth what is that for?
Q. Hello my daughter is having braces fitted we have just been to the orthodotist and they have put 4 little blue bands around the back of some of her teeth could you tell me what this is for. Many Thanks
A. They are called separators they are normally there for about a week and are used to gently push the teeth apart so metal bands can then be placed over the back molars. If you are ever unsure of anything you must ask your orthodontist they are there to help you.
