my bridges has become loose and i am told i cannot have a false tooth on my plate is it correct?

Q. Hi I had a bridge (for 1 tooth) on the top back right of my mouth a few years ago. The bridge was only connected to one other tooth (the furthest tooth to the right was used as the bridge as that was the only tooth avail). The bridge has become loose (maybe because only connected to one tooth even though the tooth other side could have been used to make it more stable)I now have an abscess and have been told today that I will have to have bridge removed and I cannot have a false tooth on a plate , the only option is to have an implant and have a screw in tooth which will cost me £2500. Can you tell me if this information is correct please?

A. You really need a clinical examination and Xrays to answer this question in your case. It is possibly correct from the scenario given.
