My bridge has become loose what are my options in 65
Q. Please advise me: My upper back tooth has a bridge attached to it and it has become loose and causing me pain. If it comes out then I loose the two teeth. To have an implant my Dentist has quoted £2K, which although I find expensive I am also worried as I have heard that one can suffer pain for months after, is this true?. I am sixty five and have always cared about my teeth and appearance, and I must admit I have always told my Dentist I never want false teeth, which I don’t. But I really don’t know what to in this case, do I have the implant and save both teeth or do I have two false ones in their place. Or is there another way this could be dealt with? I will have to make a decision very soon, as I am having a lot of discomfort. Thank you for your feedback which I await with anticipation. kind regards
A. Hello
Implants should only cause minor discomfort after placement and the pain should be controllable with normal painkillers. The alternative is a removable denture so I would look seriously into implants if at all possible
