My bottom teeth do not need braces but my top teeth do, can this be done?
Q. Hi. I am 28 and thinking of getting fixed braces to correct my overbite of approx 9mm. The orthodontist I have seen thinks he will be about to get it down to around 3mm with fixed braces. My bottom teeth are straight so I do not think I will need braces on them. Would you always advise to have both top and bottom done? Thanks.,
A. It really depends on how your teeth bite together if the bite is good you may only need top braces. Most cases need both jaws treated.
