My bottom front teeth fell out is flippers a viable option for me?

Q. It is Easter Sunday and one of my bottom front teeth finally fell out after being loose for a very long time. It was recommended a couple of years ago to have a “flipper” Is this still a viable option for me? I have bone deterioration and I am also a teacher, so it is extremely embarrassing for this to have happened. I do have dental insurance, but it’s not very good.

A. A simple denture is the easiest way to replace the tooth.  It will fill the gap in the short term.  If you would like a new tooth permanently fixed in a dental implant / bridge may be an option but you would probably need some bone grafting.
