My benefits do not cover ceramic substrate for crowns, is it a bad move to use porcelain crowns fused to semiprecious

Q. TEETH 7,8,9 NEED CROWNS. MY BEBEFITS WILL COVER 100% OF CROWN-PORCELAIN FUSED TO SEMIPRECIOUS. MY BEBEFITS WONT COVER CERAMIC SUBSTRATE WOULD IT BE A BAD MOVE TO GO WITH FUSED ON MY FRONT TEETH. THANK YOU

A. All ceramic will be good in various light conditions, if you spend time in cubs etc with UV light there is an advantage. Also if your lip uncovers the neck of the front teeth when you smile all ceramic is better. In most other cases it depends on the affordability. The PFM crowns are useful in patients with tooth surface loss / heavy biting forces as the non visible biting surface can be in gold alloy which causes less long term wear of the opposite tooth.
