Ive a rotten smell coming from my dental bridge how do i fix it?

Q. Why do i have a rotten smell coming from my dental bridge and how do i disfuss it until i can make it to my dentist. People seems to cover there face when i talk and the whole room stinks when i open my mouth ..Please help me i am in desperate need also my bridge is loose on one side not the other..Have u ever heard of that..

A. There could be some decay under the bridge you could also be getting food and plaque trapped between your teeth which is causeing the smell. You need to see your dentist and dental hygienist so you can keep your teeth cleaner.

Hello I had a bridge done about 4 months ago and I am noticing a terrible smell just along the gum line of one of the tooth. My dentist did an xtray and found no decay and no leaks. I have been brushing and flossing between and underneath the bridge, but a few minutes later the smell is still there. I am pretty sure there is no food trapped. I cleaned this bridge at least four times a day. Can you tell me what I can do to elimainate the smell.
or should I get another opinion from a different dentist. Please help!

Hello Kristin. I have the same problem except both anchor teeth supporting my bridge smell. My efforts at locating a solution so far are: brushing and then using a water pik, flossing, using pipcleaner flossers, rinsing with salt water, peroxide, mouthwashes and peridex. I’ve tried drinking green tea, taking manuka honey, plant enzymes and cutting out sweets. I’ve had many discussions (and xrays) with my dentist (to the point where he has said “well I don’t know what to tell you, I can’t find anything wrong”.) I’ve also had several discussions and xrays with the periodontist, a visit to the ENT and gastroenterologist to rule out problems there. I don’t think the dentist, nor the hygenist will be able to fix the problem until they know what it is. And they have no idea what it is. I wish you the best of luck in finding a solution. I sure haven’t been able to.
