Is this the correct price for a dental crown?

Q. Hi I wanted to get my bottom lateral and central incisors crowned but I heard you get charged per tooth and that it costs around £300+ for a crown, meaning it would cost a minimum of £1200 to get those 4 little teeth done, is this really the case? If so are there any cheaper alternatives? A friend of mine recommended a dentistry where student dentists carry out the procedures for cheap but I didn’t much like the sound of that. Another friend of mine told me there was a dentist scheme in Birmingham that offered students cold crowns who were in or completed college. It sounded a bit odd to me but I thought I’d run it by you just in case it’s true. Also I am 20 and unemployed. I don’t know if that would qualify me for cheaper treatment but I thought I’d mention it just in case. Thanks for your time.

A. £300 is quite a good price for a crown. If you want cheaper treatment you may end up not getting the best job. Perhaps you should ask your nhs dentist what they can do for you.
