Is there a way to fix a cracked front tooth without replacing it?

Q.
I have a crack on my front tooth which is a crown, is there a way to have it fixed without replacing the whole tooth?
A.
Dear Enquirer,
If the porcelain on the crown is cracked, then there is little that we can do as it is difficult to repair porcelain permanently. Although we are able to bond a filling material onto the fracture site (sometimes), it does not have long term stability.
I would advise a new porcelainn crown.
