Is it normal that gum has not droped yet following veneers?

Q. My friend got 4 veneers done about 6 weeks ago and her gum has yet to drop on one side. is it normal?or would you recommend another way to easy her mind.,
A. It can take a while for the gums to stabilize but if in doubt please visit the dentist who fitted the veneers
