is it best to remove a baby tooth, fifth from front, before fitting braces?

Q.
hello my daughter whos 12 needs brace to ciose gaps in front. She has baby tooth 5th from front which has no adult tooth, been given opions either remove or leave .
A.
Hello, it is common to not have an adult tooth to replace that purticular baby tooth. Sometimes these teeth can remain healthy well into your adult life.

A consultation with an Orthodontist will be able to give you the full options and reasons for removing or retaining.

It depends on the severity of the problem. Cosmetic only improvements are not covered by the NHS regards

Hello Im from Hungary and I study at Coventry University. In Hungary my dentist made me a removable braces and last tuesday she tightened it. It was 6days ago and the braces really rubs my roof of my mouth and it hurts wheni have the braces in. Also I cant eat becuase the roof of my mouth really does hurt at the two sides where my braces touches it. I read online about dental wax. Would that help? What should I do? Would my insurance cover thisproblem in the UK? Thank You
