invisalign for children bristol
Q. My son is 12 he needs approx 2 teeth taking out then a brace fitting they are quite crooked does the invisalign work with this type of patient? and do you know of a Good Invisalign dentist in Bristol that you could recommend Ms S Bristol
A. Invisalign is a very useful way for dentists to rotate, tilt and slightly intrude or extrude teeth. One of the things it cannot do is bodily move a tooth through the bone. This is what really limits the possible treatments available to invisalign. Personally I have never used invisalign on a child of 12 but provided that he has his second molars completely through it is unlikely that he would not be able to be treated with invisalign, provided he does not need his teeth bodily moved. The best way to find out whether he is suitable is to find a registered invisalign dentist in Bristol and have him assessed. Unfortunately I am based in Hertfordshire and do not know any dentists in Bristol that provide invisalign treatment but i am sure a quick google search will help you out.
Kindest regards
um..hi! my name is sogona and I’m going to be 12 in june.I just saw the invisalign ad on tv and I just wanted to know if it is necessary for my age.Is it? I wanted to close my gap for my b-day so I won’t be nervous to smile again, can it also close my gap?
I have just finished my invisalign treatment under the care of Dr Neil Gerrard at a clinic just outside Bristol in Clifton. He was more expensive that a few quotes i had from some other invisalign practitioners in and around Bristol but he is well worth the money. The quality of treatment my aftercare and attention to detail is what really does it for me. I even got a free teeth whitening at the end of my treatment which was a pleasant surprise. If you are thinking of having orthodontic treatment in the Bristol area well worth checking his clinic out.
hello I was wondering if you could tell me the difference between invisalign and invisalign teen? I have a 15 year old son who is looking to have some brace work for his gapped teeth and just wanted to know it inivsalign teen was the better option for him? What is the price in comparison to normal invisalign? thank you very much for your time
Invisalign teen is designed for the growing adult I use it regularly for people aged between 12-18. The price is the same as adult invisalign.
i’ve heard that you can combine invisalign with teeth whitening. How exactly does this work? is it safe? I would really like straight AND white teeth so i am very very interested! thank you for your time
Dear Enquirer, it is very simple: you can place tooth whtening gel inside the aligners at night and hence slowly whiten your teeth.
hi i have very stained teeth and just wondered if you can whiten teeth with the invisalign treatment? I would really like straight teeth that are white so would i have whitening before or after my invisalign treatment? thank you for reading
Hi there! I would suggest to have whitening after your orthodontic treatment finishes, unless you have tetracycline stains. In that case, you can whiten while you are doing the treatment. Best to visit an invisalign dentist first to determine your suitability for treatment and the cause of your staining. You may only need polishing!
Hello, My son is 14 and he had crooked teeth on the top jaw and the bottom. He is currently receiving treatment under the NHS and we have an appointment at the end of May. My main concern is that he is already shy and quiet and i worry that a metal brace may make him even worse. My brother told me about Invisalign and I really think he would prefer the discreetness of them. Do you know if they are available on the NHS and if not how much do they generally cost? Thanks
Invisalign teen treatment is private approx costs range from £3000-6000.
My son is 13 and has been wearing a removable standard brace for five months to align his front teeth. We went to the orthodontist last week and my son’s teeth have not improved as they should have and the orthodontist told me he believes my son is taking the brace out when he gets to school. I spoke to my son and eventually he confirmed this as he felt embarrassed. I have been looking on different websites and wondered if Invisalign would be the answer to my sons problem with embarrassment? Would it work for a teenager?
Invisalign can straighten teteh but it depends on what the problem is with your sons teeth also invisalign is removable so you would need to be sur ethat son would wear them before you invested in this treatment.
Hi, I am 15 and I am thinking about getting Invisalign. There is not an Invisalign Teen provider in my city but there is a regular Invisalign provider. Is it possible for a teen to use regular Invisalign? And how do I know if I can get Invisalign treatment? Thanks!
Hi Yes you can have regular Invisalign if you are suitable and your teeth (especially your canines and second molars) have fully erupted (come through). I would suggest a consultation with the Invisalign provider you have found and see if you are suitable. Good luck
Hello Doctor, I have a 12 year old son who has crooked teeth on his upper jaw. Our local dentist said that he will have to have orthodontic treatment at some point in the future to correct this. I know that he could have treatment on the NHS as I did many moons ago for a brace. My memories of having to go to the orthodontist at the hospital will stay with me forever and I would not like my son to go through the same thing. Do you think it would be possible for my son to have Invisalign treatment? Also, what age would he be able to start the treatment. I would rather he had it ASAP before he gets older and more concious of his appearance.
Call my practice and arrange a free consultation with you and your son and we will look at the options available together.
Hi, I’ve been doing some research about Invisalign for my son who is twelve; he has quite a noticeable overbite and some crowding in his lower mouth. I was wondering if Invisalign is suitable for kids of this age and whether it would be appropriate to sort out the problems he has. Also, I keep reading references to ‘speed bumps.’ What are they and do they hurt??
Bumps open the jaw up to allow potential jaw movement and accelerated tooth movement,I would need to see your son to offer you the best options.
