Im considering invisalign would the nhs cover part of the cost

Q. Hi, Im considering invisalign, however i would like to know if NHS would cover part of the treatment or not if i have a HC2 certificate. And approximately how much it would cost if i am not a severe case.

A. Hi
unfortunately the nhs will only cover fixed brackets for teeth in under 18’s and will not contribute anything towards invisalign. the cost for invisalign is between 3250 and 4250

Hello, I have recently started wearing Invisalign for the correction of overlapping teeth and gaps at the side. I am half way through the time for wearing the first aligner and my teeth have been moving fine but I worry what if they change so much the next aligner doesn’t fit my properly? Has this ever happened before and what would you do if it did? Thank you for your time doctor

Kylie Says :

I don’t think you have anything to worry about, the next aligner would fit you fine.

I have just discovered from the company where I pay my monthly dental plan that my Dental Practice has closed and they have failed to tell me. I am currently having Invisalign treatment in which I have 18 weeks to go. I have paid for my treatment in full. Can you advise whether I can continue my treatment with another practice without incurring any more costs.

Cassie Says :

I am very sorru to hear that. Your dentist should have informed you that they were closing/relocating. A dentist would have to take over your treatment but would want to be paid as well. My best advice is to find and ask the dentist for a refund.

I have just started a course of Invisalign and have stupidly broken one of the aligners, number 3 to be exact. How much does it usually cost to replace an aligner and how long do they usually take to arrive? I think I should be alright as I am only one aligner in but obviously the sooner the better. thank you for your time

Anabel Says :

you can get them replaced call your dentist you might be able to wear no 4 for longer and therefore not have to pay for a replacement.

hi i have lost one of the aligners in the series and I wanted to know will i have to pay extra for that missing aligner, and on average what would it cost? In the meantime what should I do? Should I continue wearing the current aligner for a longer time? thank you

July 27th, 2011 at 08:47 PM
Jaydon Says :

I would recommend you contact your dentist asap to let them know you have lost your aligner. You will be most likely charged for this and your dentist will inform you of the cost. Carry on wearing the last aligner to maintain the position of your teeth.

Hi I would like to get invisalign treatment. I went to see a consultant and everything was fine. They said I would be able to get the invisalign procedure. However, I do not have great financial record so I was not able to get the treatment on finance. And they do not have any other options for me. I have money saved up is there any other way I could pay for the treatment, without having to go on finance. Thank-you very much

Hi Sometimes practices allow you to pay half up front and the balance over 6 to 8 months
