I would need a post and a crown i live in kingston upon thames what would be a normal price?

Q. Hi there I broke a tooth on the weekend. It is a tooth that has been repeatedly filled and had a root canal done some years ago. I went to my dentist and he said that I would need a post and a crown. He quoted me £900 for this. This seems somewhat excessive. Is this a normal price for this kind of work? I live in Kingston-upon-Thames.

A. It really depends on what time of treatment you are having done. A new crown and post can vary in price form £600-1200.
