I want to have my teeth whitened
Q. Dr Rob, I want to have my teeth whitened but i don’t know which method is going to be the most effective. Laser or the peroxide method without the laser? I’m not interested in the home kits. I want to have it done professionally. Can you help?
A. Both methods achieve the same end result. In favour of Laser it is fast but costs more and works best with a 2 night tray top up. In favour of home kits (trays) better for those who find 60-80minutes in a dental chair uncomfortable, some patients find trays more comfortable & you have more choice about the final shade ( useful if matching up to existing crowns etc)
