I want to have my bridge replaced with a crown and get gum contouring. Is this possible?

Q. i have a bridge on my top teeth in a unit of six, would like to have this changed and have my gums contouring to make my teeth look more even, and maybe a crown to the other side to make them look the same when i smile, i have had the bridge for some time now and feel it is time to changed it before i get to old to do this.,
A. If you have had the bridge for a number of years, the problem is that once you have teeth removed, the surrounding bone in the area dissappears. It would not just be a case of recontouring gum, but would probably need a bone graft to rectify the right shape. This sort of surgery is very routine and popular, but I would advise you see a specialist for a consultation. I hope this has been of help to you.
