I still have my baby teeth and scared of going to the dentist

Q. Hello dr solanki i really need some advice im 29 years of age and still have my baby teeth at the bottom and few at the top i was told i would get adult teeth but my grandad had 3 sets im starting to lose my bottom teeth now and had a denture on the top about 14 years ago i also have quite a large gap in my front two teeth which stick out a bit i havent worked now for 2 years as its really getting me down and dont want to leave the house im scared of going to the dentist and its now affecting my health im worried about cost and what people might say can you please help or give me some advice kindest regards

 

A. The first thing you need to do is seek out a cosmetic dentist in your local area and go for a consultation. the most important thing is to see if you can have a relationship with the dentist and a level of trust can be obtained. this may take a few visits to different dentist but once you find the right dentist i feel this will help with acceptance of treatment. alot of clinics offer free consultations so this research should not cost you any money. the other advantage of seeing a few dentists initially will be that they will formulate a plan of action with relevant costs which is important. hope this is helpful. i know its difficult but that first step needs to be made by yourself.
