I still have gaps in my teeth after wearing braces, any advice?
Q. Hi Doc, I am 28 yr old female from India. Last year I underwent orhodontic treatment with white wire and clear brackets. Now after 1 year, the dentist has removed the braces. But i still see gaps between all upper teeth except front 6 teeth. The dentist has put me on clear retainers and said that the gaps will go on their own in long haul. From front my smile looks good but from side it shows gaps which is not appealing to me. Doctor please suggest what you think will be right. Coz in other ppl who have undergone orthodontic treament I havent seen such gaps. Thnx in advance,
A. If you are unhappy with your treatment results then it may be worth going back to see the dentist who did your treatment again and just explaining that you are unhappy and want to know what can be done to improve this. It may be that your retainers may need adjusting slightly. Hope this helps Dr Solanki
