I need to have implant and I cant have missing teeth for 6 months any advice

Q. Ive got two implants either side of a tooth thats had route canal work done,my dentist has told me the impants will have to come out have titanium screws put in so i can have a bridge made, but in the mean time i have to have 6 months for my gums to heal, working in the public sector i cant go to work with 3 teeth missing for 6 months,i cant wear false teeth as i have tried before, any ideas and is it expensive

A. I’m a little unsure of your situation. Just to clarify- once implants are placed into the jaw- you cannot ‘take them out’- unless of course you’re referring to post crowns?
It sounds as though you have been recommended an implant retained bridge. Dental implants are titanium screws like you said, and you can have 2 placed with a 3 unit bridge over the top. (3 teeth on 2 screws)
This is financially a better way of doing it. There is also an option of having a temprary bridge in the meantime onto these implants. You need to be aware that integration of the bone may take a little longer as they will be loaded staright away. Alternatively, a partial dentiure is agood way of letting the gums heal and settle around the sites before they are restored. If you have any questions, I’m sure your dentist will clarify. Otherwise, I would be more than happy to offer you a free consultaion at my kissdental practice to discuss this further. hope this has helped.
