I need to get my gold crown removed please advice?

Q. I have a front gold crown tooth about 18 years and i would like to have it remove from my tooth. I had x-rays done last year and i have no tooth decay. Should i have the crown just removed and use teeth whiting or have them bleach?

A.

When the gold crown is taken off it will need to be replaced with a porcelain crown that will be matched into the rest of your teeth. If you are not happy with the shade of your teeth then you could whiten them first and then have the crown made to match the new shade of your teeth.
