I’m not happy with my dental veneers, what can I do? Please help!

Q. Hi I have had my teeth whitened, gums sculptured and 4 veneers on my top teeth, the total cost is £3000, although so far I’ve only paid one finance installment. The veneers were fitted today and I’m really unhappy with the result, the teeth are too big and too long, they are not of even length and are not regular in their shape or appearance. I don’t know what to do and although I appreciate it may be difficult for you to comment on the result, can you advise me as to the best way to proceed. I know the veneers were made in just 3 working days (due to a mistake made by the dentist) and I wonder if that has effected the quality of the veneers I’ve ended up with. I don’t know whether to trust the dentist to try again or whether I should refuse to pay and get a different dentist to replace the veneers. Please help, i’m so upset!! I can email you before and after photos if that will help you to answer.,
A. In cases where you are not happy with a result, go back to the origional agreement. Did you sign a consent form ? did you see a mock up on a study cast or photo simulation before you started ? Contact the practice for details of its complaints procedure and let them respond to your comments. Then find out if they will replace the veneers at no cost to you. Assuming they will get a wax simulation made on the working cast used so that you can iron out any changes to the appearance before the replacements are made. Rob
