I lost my front teeth and have an aggressive dentist I have an infection
Q. I lost my two front teeth when I was 8yrs old and since then I have had crowns, plates and now a even wider denture.I always seem to get the dentist that is aggresive in their manner or they have left me in a living hell with infection after infection. My denture has 5 teeth at the front and 1 molar far left. For nearly two years my dentist still says it\’s fine and I\’ve had to be seen at my hospital .Am I a candicate for another bridge as I just can\’t deal with this anymore.I suffer from fibromyalgia and I don\’t think the medication I have been on for the best part of 20yrs has helped my own teeth at all!
A. It sounds as though you have 5 missing teeth at the front of your mouth. This length of span is usually too long for a bridge to cope with. The 2 solutions for your problem may be:
1. A new well fitting denture
2. Implants to replace the denture
Obviously I have not seen you and a proper examination would be required to decide which treatment option is best for you.
I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. The Fibro leaves me in lots of pain during everyday activities. i am wondering what i should tell my dentist when i next visit (has to be soon as i know i need work doing!) I know i need a crown replacing, and various fillings. Any advice please, as visiting isn’t the easiest without excess pain to start with.
hi, i was wondering what the waiting time for a consultation would be?Hi there!! I have a very big phobia of the dentist and just writing this message is scary enough the thing is I never smile and have never had any treatment done before which needless to say means I need a lot of work done including implants! I really want to smile and have nice teeth and so would like to have an appoitment!! the thing is I one went to the dentist but wasshouted at one of the staff because of my teeth and really couldn’t go back I was so scared!!
Hi, I am due to have a filling tomorrow. The tooth that is being treated is right at the back, I think it’s my wisdom tooth and I am already petrified of needles. Is receiving a needle in this area likely to be more painful? My dentist isn’t very gentle, he just likes to get the treatment done quick. He doesn’t faff around but I am scared and I don’t know how to go about saying something to him, can you advise me?
Im not sure that youve given me enough time to reply and you may have had the procedure by now . The needle for this area can be slightly uncomfortable but it does pass off , Dont be too shy to tell the dentist how you feel , its your treatment .
