I have severely ground down my teeth, what do you suggest?

Q.
Hello Dr.  All of my teeth are very badly ground down due to excess grinding of calcium substitues. I very much would like to ave a beautiful smile. I am embarassed by my teeth. Some of them are also chipped. They are discoloured, just awful.

I know you have a brilliant reputation for putting patients at ease, as this is also a problem for me, dentist phobia.

Anyway, Dr. , if you were able to help me, I can’t express how I grateful and happy I would be. I realise that you are a specialist, but my teeth are so bad that I doubt even you can do anything with them.

I feel depressed and down, just because of my teeth and not being able to smile whenever there is something to smile about.

Yours sincerely

A.
Hello,

Thank you for your enquiry.

When teeth are ground down, it is important that you have a bite guard made to protect your teeth from any further damage.

We can always repair chipped and broken teeth with either composite or porcelain restorations and if your teeth are discoloured you can get whitening.

However, before you do any of this I would recommend you book a comprehensive consultation, this way you can come in and meet our team, feel comfortable with our practice and we can proceed with the treatments at a pace that is comfortable for you.
