I have periodontal disease, please help!
Q. Hi Dr Caplan, I have periodontal disease in my lower front 2-3 teeth, I have spoken with my dentist,who has taken X-rays. I need to know what can be done , the thought of dentures fills me with sickening dred .I am 62yrs old fit and try to take care of my self , can you help me please?.

A. Hi Patricia. Gum treatment may be able to save your teeth – you may need to have a splint to stabilize them.
