I have gum sensitivity with dental crowns
Q. I appear to have some gum issues/sensitivity in relation to six
crowns
i have had fitted 4 years ago (replaced due to containing metal) to conceal tetracycline unsightly staining. What kind of dentist could assist me with a new set of crowns which might be biocompatible and kind to
gums. Also…is it possible to develop breathing problems from a recently discovered
tooth abscess. I am 43 and urgently need a good dentist conversant with the latest dental technologies.

A. When looking for a good cosmetic dentist, look at their postgraduate qualifications and look at their before and after cases.
With regards to gum irritation due to crowns – this can be prevented by a good design of the crown and by avoiding metal (if you are allergic to it).
To answer your final question, in very rare occasions an abscess can cause breathing problems only if the infection spreads in the surrounding tissue under your chin/mandible.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards
