I have enough size of gap on the right side is it necessary to spend on implant?

Q. I got both of my upper back second tooth removed. First one (left) was remove about 8 yrs ago now that the gap got really small the wisdom tooth from that side growth out. The second one (right) side got removed 1 yr ago. I recently just got all the other three wisdom teeth removed because they under the gum and grow horizontally. My question is that since I still have enough size of gap left on the right side, it’s necessary to spend $ 3000 on implant? That gap is in the back, if I don’t do anything, what will happened?

A. The implant will support the bite on that side preventing further drift of the opposing and adjacent teeth, thus reducing the stress on the remaining teeth.
