I have been told I need teeth removed and that bridges are not available on the NHS. Is this true?

Q. Good afternoon, I recently had a check up at my local dentist and was told that I need a tooth removed upper level either side. I was offered bridges but told they are no longer availbable on the NHS so had to pay private. Is this true as I know a lot of dentists are out for more money. Thanks in advance,
A. Thank you for your enquiry The NHS does have certain treatments that it will not cover so this maybe one of them. To check contact the NHS directly and see what they advise. Kind regards
