I have been suffering from a very bad odur coming from my two crowns

Q. I have been suffering from a very bad odur coming from my two crowns for almost 4 years now. Three months ago one came up in a abscess for which root canal treatment was done. This seemed to eradicate the bad odur from that particular crown, however the bad smell still remains in the other. I am sure that there is some kind of infection however after an xray my dentist isnt sure. I am thinking about having a root canal treatment done on the other crown or possibly having both removed and bridged. This has really effected my life. Any suggestions would be welcome, thank you.

A. Hi thanks for your enquiry, i think to have the two teeth removed is a drastic option. if your dentist is unsure about the second crown then ask him to refer you to an endodontist for a consultation, he will be able to assess your case with more experiance. hope this is helpful.
